PASSING EXAMS DOES NOT REALLY MATTER AS YOU THINK

Updated: Jul 10, 2020

The probability that a child is going to be very intelligent is high when he or she is trained to study and not to pass exams. There is a very big difference between studying, reading and cram work. First of all, I don’t think anything exists like studying under tension or pressure. In my opinion, it’s not called studying. Forced study is that situation that hinders someone from being intelligent or acquiring a given notion, a situation that makes the victim thinks he or she is dull and hence causing the victims reasoning capability to be stressed. In this case, the urge to acquire knowledge also reduces. The victims brain will only feel angry to study whenever the time comes. Reading on its own part is different from studying. These two terms only have similarities. Though people confuse it to mean studying. Most people who do not know how to study use reading as another option. Some people read without knowing thinking that they are studying. Everybody who studies actually reads but not everybody who reads studies in most cases. Reading can be done just for leisure or for entertainments sake. Cram Work is most at times an option to lazy students. Students who do not want to study, either due to the fact that they didn’t have anyone to teach them how to study or because they were victims to force study when they were young go well with this option. If you know someone who is lazy, it must be as a result of one of these two reasons and nothing else. The trend nowadays in our African communities is that; children are forced to study instead of being thought how to study. And because of these excess pressure and beatings that usually accompany forced study, they start hating studies and prefer to cram or read in order to please whosoever is exhibiting the pressure or force on them. In order to study, one needs a calm brain. One needs to love what he wants to study. The person has to understand the reason why he has to study. And that should be the starting point to being intelligent or to successfully acquire knowledge in that particular field of study. No matter who you are you’ll never be comfortable when forced to learn and that is why It is never the best approach. When someone doesn’t begin his or her quest for knowledge that way, he or she can only be lucky to find someone or get to an environment that allows him or her to clearly understand what studying really is even if he or she was once a victim to forced learning. What matters the most is the ability to acquire knowledge and to use it creatively and not learning how to pass exams. With no fear of contradiction, I stand against the teaching approach of those schools who think academic excellence is all what matters
